Hey Guys,

Please forgive me for this off topic post.

I have a nice example of a Hallicrafters SX-28 in working condition. For those of you that
are not into boat-anchors the SX-28 is a very fine tube radio from the 40's.

I am looking for information. Does anyone know or know of a person that restores the SX-28?

I used to remanufacture, repair & restore the Collins R-390 390 & 390A as a pleasure or hobby
but my eyes are not as good as they used to be. The SX-28 does not have circuit boards which
makes un-soldering/ re-soldering very difficult in the very populated SX-28. It is loaded with
hundreds mica & foil capacitors that in time fail. At this time I would not want to take this job on.

Does anyone know of a reputable person that has the experience?

Regards Scott
