Unfortunately this legacy list doesn't get very much posting! At best
it's been just about 6 hobbyists on a regular basis!
Monitor VHF/UHF Aero daily (4 to 10+ hours depending upon availability)
with a summary posting once a month here. Also post almost daily to FB
group "Military Radio Communications -- Northeast", as well as a monthly
summary posting to website "Scan New England", military monitoring
message area.
HF/SSB -- I still have the equipment BUT the noise level is too high and
various household appliance also contribute to the significant noise
problems. It is good that Scott does post some loggings. Perhaps I'll
try some HF monitoring in the near future. I know Larry VH column in
"Spectrum Monitor" magazine has been emphasizing HF/SSB.
I'm only about 1 mile from Westover ARB (KCEF) 12 miles from Barnes
Westfield (ANG Station) (KBAF). & 20 miles from Bradley Windsor Locks
Airport (ANG Station) (KBDL), so typical traffic is C5M's, F15's,
C130's, UH60's, UH72A's, plus any transits that land KCEF as well as
overflying interesting aircraft such as E6B's.
