They were most likely using up all their old paint supplies beforethe new budget year, so they could order new updated suppliesand make all the aircraft match.Either that or all those planes were assembled from spare partsstored around in the parts hanger. I guess it could be theefficient use of all the surplus parts hanging around the yard.
The possibilities are endless......

Subject: [MilCom] google earth
I was looking on google earth and ended up at Offult AFB. I noticed on
the apron a couple of what looks like E-4B. But the other aircrafts is
what caught my eyes. There was three C-137 with white wings, two C-137
with gray wings and one with a black right wing with USAF in red and the
other wing was gray. All them had white fuselages. The types were
disguised with a little photoshop magic. Any ideas.
