Good after noon all and a wet one here along the southeast coast of NC tnx
to TD BONNIE.

We had a swimmer that got caught in rip at Carolina Beach late last evening
. Local rescue  teams with boats and local Wrightsville Beach CG boats ect
searched for him until midnight last night in very rough seas I may add. 

The called E-CITY CG Air Base for support .  Two A/C responded, CG 6040
copter and CG 2004 C-130. Now I had them a/a up on 345.000 am in the clear.
They were also working surface CG boats on VHF P-25 secure voice on VHF 113.
Now sometimes I hear traffic in the clear but not last night. I got a lot
details of search grid and all from 345.00 and local New Hanover CO PS-5
talk group. But E-city had their guard I guess through Sector NC on VHF-113
P-25 secure voice I guess.  

So I guess the days of using HF 5696 and 8982 for guard on a/c are no more
in the coastal waters? Is this true? Oh the CG-6040 is back out to day
searching for a body with surface vessels also.  Some of smaller boats had
to RTB  due to rough seas from Bonnie.
