[MilCom] legal Viewing sites?

Can anyone give me an idea of a good spot to watch arrivals departures from
Seymour Johnson or Beufort MCAS? Went to Beufort many years ago and saw
absolutely nothing I hear its more active now. Or any active airbase near
Greenville SC. (Upstate SC)


Given that the military frowns on hanging out at runways. I would prefer a
public site like a park or something. Gonna bring a youngster with me
perhaps bring a receiver.


It would really be nice if I could be poolside at a hotel.
