I haven't been around the radios a lot lately and today I heard a couple of
things worth noting. First, MAG-31 at MCAS Beaufort has been conducting an
exercise in the Coastal MOAs and over Fort Stewart since 27 July. It is a
combined arms exercise and will continue through tomorrow. For more
information see the DVIDS link below. Second, it seems that DOUBLESHOT
(W-161/177) is or has been having VHF radio issues, multiple aircraft were
pushed to it today to do VHF/UHF radio checks and no one could establish
contact with them on VHF.
