Thats pretty neat. Years ago when I was living in Dallas, our house was 
almost under the approach to what was then
"Navy Dallas"  (What was the old "Hensley Field"). The runway jutted out 
into the lake and they used it as a practice
for aircraft carrier landings.
They were so low at that point you could almost make out the markings on 
thier helments
