[MilCom] Davis Monthan 747 Laser

Last May a large aircraft flew over central Indiana high enough to leave contrails, and I
wanted to test a new camera so I went to max zoom and snagged a couple shots.  One
of them was clear enough (no motion blur) to zoom in on with the computer, and the
plane looked like about a 747 size but with a funny bump on its nose.  I wondered if it
might be the YAL aircraft but what in the world it would have been doing around here
I have no idea.  Anybody wants to look at the pic, drop me a line..........you'll need some
viewer software that can zoom in.  Windows Viewer will work.  I'd like to get my wife to
run it in photoshop to see if she can clarify the image any..........

Hi All,
A heavy 747 arrived here at DMA a short time ago.  It did not look like the laser platform but rather a standard  E-4.

Logged the ModeS AE04D4 of YAL-1A 747 on Feb 14th over Southern California at 11:am.  Another person
logged it after me over Arizona at 12:pm.

It's my understanding that the Airborn Laser 747 is sitting at DM. 
It was announced last Dec. that the USAF was not going to continue funding.
Sad all those Tax dollars invested in a wasted platform.
