U-2 "Pinon 71" is up on 13927 kHz again (2303z), in a phone patch to Beale
Ops. Ops asks him "Is your SSD still operational?" then passes weather
conditions. Asks him his INF temperature. "Is it warming up?" Tells him to
keep an eye on it, because if it rises, they will consider a divert. ETA is 50
minutes now. Says he is half-way between Palmdale and Beale AFB (Calif).

A friend of mine in Calif just sent me this message:
