[MilCom] Tyndall AFB officials evacuate aircraft

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – Currently, there has been no decision to
evacuate base personnel. All base facilities will be open Monday, August 
27
and the base will proceed with normal operations. Base personnel should
continue storm preparations.

The aircraft are being dispersed to Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. “Safe
Haven” bases are chosen on the basis of their locations, out of danger of
the storm, and their ability to house Tyndall support personnel and 
provide
maintenance to Tyndall’s aircraft.

Aircraft evacuated will return when the storm danger has passed.
