Twelve 107FS A-10s departed from Selfridge ANGB (KMTC) at 1100z and are currently en route to Lajes Airfield (LPLA).

They are replacing the 74FS in Afghanistan, and they are due to return to CONUS October 10.

A few hours ago we had the AAR tankers for the 107thFS A-10C movement, GOLD 51 (83-0075), 53 (58-0088), 61 (79-1713), 62 (58-0067) and 63 (63-7988) transition east across New England and OTS between 12-14Z. This makes sense as most of the tankers had to wait for the A-10s to get out this far.

For those that don't know (I just learned this myself), any tanker callsign "GOLD" denotes an eastward track towards the UK and any tanker callsign "BLUE" denotes an westward track back into US Airspace. You can read more on this here.

This image shows their routing to LPLA (BIG thanks to the FAA's PilotWeb service!).

If anyone has any more information that they would like to add, please reply!
