[MilCom] Tacamo lost a wire?

About five years ago I caught comms between a tanker and its receiver on 
234.8250 while attempting to rendezvous for AR over Isabella MOA in 
R-2508. While the boom operator was extending the mast, it snapped, and 
fell into the Sequoia NF just northeast of Lake Isabella. Needless to 
say the mission was canceled and everyone just went home.
