[MilCom] scanner question

"I have 2 Realistic PRO 2006 scanners. I cant figure out which is older. One 
has a dimmer switch, the other a light switch which turns the display light 
off. Personally, I dont care but there is another on ebay and I would prefer 
to buy the newer model."

What is the date code?  It will be numbers and letters, such as 2I4 or 6I9, 
these would mean the unit was built in February of '94 or June of '99. 
These are found on all radio shack products, unless of course they have been 
removed.
