Doesn't LOOK like any of the missile shots I recall from years past,
certainly nothing on a ballistic missile scale.  (the remnants quickly get
caught in changing wind directions and get all tangled)  Know the Reagan
Battlegroup was in the area prior to transiting to help the cruise ship.
Sometimes Firebee drones are a part of the action against the Sea Sparrows.
Mugu says they didn't fire anything.  I honestly don't recall the contrail
output of a Sea Sparrow.  (Doubtful on the sparrow, since no course change
is noted)

With the photography taking place at altitude, it's hard to get the relative
slope vs the ground.

This former Navy guy goes with a contrail, even if one of the oddest he's
seen.

And..... For all the former Jarheads out there
