Very sad news. I would be remiss if I didn't take this oppurtunity to let the members know that another former poster, Randy Lewis also recently passed away. Randy used the name Lewisrand and his postings were of aircraft he saw and heard at Wright-Patterson and Springfield, Ohio.
Randy and I met and became friends in 1995 while at the Wright-Patt to watch Freedom Flight. He first introduced me to MilCom. During one of the hurrevacs, we were interviewed by a local paper regarding our hobby. The reporter asked if it was similar to bird watching, to which Randy responded, "it's iron bird watching". The headline of the story read "Iron bird watchers flock together".
A few years ago, he moved to Tennessee with his father, and soon after illness slowed down his internet time. Sadly, he passed away this past December, but word did not reach me until earler this month.
