Remember when I used to post all the Blackwater planes coming in and out of
Melbourne IAP? Well check out this good news.

Blackwater aviation owners leaving North Carolina
The Associated Press

ELIZABETH CITY, NC - The owners of the former aviation division once run
by security contractor Blackwater plan to move operations from North
Carolina to Florida.

The Daily Advance of Elizabeth City reported Saturday that AAR Corp will
make the move next spring, affecting about 225 jobs in northeastern North
Carolina.

AAR spokesman Chris Mason said he didn't know how many of the company's
employees in Moyock will make the move to Melbourne, FL, southeast of Orlando.

AAR bought Aviation Worldwide Services from Xe (ZEE') Services in March. Xe
Services is the new name of Blackwater, which provides guards and services
to the U.S. government.

It became a well-known defense contractor but attracted sharp criticism
over its role in several missions abroad.
