>From there weak reception of groom tower is possible due to 
knife edge diffraction propagation.  I was using a magmount antenna.
Groom approach/departure control comes in strong and i think comes
from Bald mountain.  First i searched vhf to find the groom atc freqs
and then uhf to find the groom atc uhf pairs. On uhf i only found
groom approach/departure control.
