Hi Dave, good posting. I wonder if you could share with me some of
your favorite HF freqs, I have 16 hf receivers set up through
multi-couplers and park them on certain frequencies. So far, I
monitor the usual CAMSLANT freqs such as 11175, 9882, 13200, 6741,
ect. Also have 2 coastguard freqs plugged in, 5696 and 8983
which produce lots of activity.
Besides those I have the other radios plugged into some Coast
Guard ship/shore freqs but have never heard a peep. I wonder if
you might have any suggestions?
I spend a lot of time cruising the 11 meg and 5 meg bands looking
for activity and have heard some interesting things such as drunken
fisherman shooting the breeze. I did hear one time a Canadian
Aircraft. I believe it was Dark Star or something similar.
I look forward to your thoughts.
Regards, Scott

Ken,
While I have never posted anything except what I thought was unusual or
interesting to others, I do read thru to see what others are listening to.
I mainly stick to HF because it has always been my thing. And Mil-Air on hf
for the most part is pretty mundane these days.
I do find it interesting that you guys do hear so much on Vhf/Uhf and I went
as far as getting a outside antenna. Found I had too many trees over the
house to do much with it and it never got put up.
I do agree that it might be there is a decline in listening. I have a
Customer that got a hf radio to play with after sitting in my truck
listening to an EAM on 11175 .
I sent him every link and site and frequency I could think of to spur him
on
(including this group)
but I dont think it is going to 'take' with him. May have been just a quick
fad.
Anyway, Im here and guess Im just guilty as charged
