Had some free time in the Southern California area and decided to take  
a trip down I-5.
Monitored from near Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, CA.

Call signs heard while in the area;
ATLAS 07, all of the ATLAS flights appeared to be AH-1 SuperCobras.

SEAL 06, a UH-1N who gave a great demo of the flight capabilities of  
the helo as he made several low passes along the viewing point on I-5  
where folks were watching and waving.

And finally, WARSHIP 88 and WARSHIP 97 warning of live fire exercises  
near San Clemente Island on Marine Channel 16, said they were  
monitoring 12, 13 and 16.

Monitoring in the rental car command post, using GRE-PSR 500, Uniden  
396T and the trusty Yupiteru MVT-7100.
