Greetings everyone.
BANDIT 17 Flight, a formation of CT-156 Harvards from 15 Wing Moose Jaw
made a ceremonial flypast over the Saskatchewan Legislature and Wascana
Park in Regina, approx. 1810 UTC (1210 local time) July 1st. This was in
support of Canada Day celebrations in the park. Never got a visual on the
flight, despite hearing them go over the house. I couldn't get to the
correct window fast enough. :-) Therefore, I don't know how many Harvards
were in the formation, but I'm guessing no more than 2 or 3.
Comms were on Regina Tower 118.6, YL pilot in command of BANDIT 17 flight.
They orbited for a while out east before doing their pass, and then flew
back to Moose Jaw. Air to air was on 341.0, although I only picked up the
air to air after the pass was done and they were on their way home.
Weather was overcast and cool, with fairly low clouds, but high enough for
the flyby. Not too many people out for the festivities at that time, but
things improved later as the sun came out and more people came out to the
park.
Regards,
Rob
