Not sure if you know or not, But typically, SLAM is C-17's out of the 
452AMW from March. Would presume that is where your bird was from 
unless McGuire/McChord has started using that callsign.

We had a SLAM 87 arrive @ Westover Tuesday evening ..... first time 
I've heard
that c/s associated with a C-17 around here.  SLAMs are usually VT ANG 
F-16s.
