[MilCom] Titans flyover aircraft up and running

Speaking of flyovers, did anyone snag the group of 3 that overflew the Bears game Sunday evening?  I was standing about a mile or so north of the stadium on the lakefront watching what appeared to be 3x F-18's orbit out over Lake Michigan. (didn't have my scanner with me, didn't know I would be in that place at that time OR about a flyover in advance) Wife had her camera and was going to try and grab a shot as they came past when the battery in her camera croaked.  I saw the three-ship take a longer southerly leg on the last orbit, then some fireworks went up at the stadium and I told her to get ready as I had a gut feeling......and she was just ready to shoot and started cussing just as the three-ship came off the flyover.  Saw some nice afterburning which would have made quite a good shot.

She did get a few fairly distant shots during those orbits and while her zoom was really reaching to get out that far, the birds looked almost light fuselage with darker wings.  I suspect that was a spurious lighting effect but can't be sure, as we were right in the sunset time frame.

Was just curious who they were, where from, etc., and if anyone had seen it on TV and could confirm or deny the paint scheme vs. lighting glitch???
