Came thru Memphis Ctr airspace near my area W/Memphis Ctr 257.75>263.1>, Atlanta Ctr 254.3 decending down to 11000 ft.  Probably landing Knoxville prior to headed your way.  Memphis Ctr on 257.75 id'd them to another aircraft as a flight of two T-38's.  So with that info i am just taking a stab at maybe they were possibly from Randolph AFB, TX (560th FTS "Charging Cheetahs") of the 12th FTW.
