Lots of USCG and USAF comms on 157.1 regarding a Search and
Rescue. The target of the SAR is an overturned vessel reported in the
area. The boat was reported to be on fire, with 5 POB.
"CG Rescue 2105," a Falcon Jet out of CGAS-Miami (Opa Locka A/p),
is in comms with "CG Vessel 25777," a boat out of CG Station
Canaveral. CG Rescue 2105 is also maintaining comms with Patrick AFB
tower on 133.75.
CG Vessel 25777 is also using the freq for comms with Station
Canaveral and with "Jolly 11," an HH-60G helo out of Patrick AFB. The
AF helo is about to lift off from Patrick AFB with AF Pararescue
Jumpers to participate.
CG Vessel 25777 also made direct contact with a USAF dive boat
that was training in the area.
The area of the search is in the Banana River portion of the
IntraCoastal Waterway, south of the Thousand Islands area between
Cocoa Beach and Patrick AFB.
Now, CG Sector Jacksonville has taken guard for JOLLY 11 and is
maintaining comms with the helo on 157.15. They are going to
coordinate with the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center so that JOLLY
11 can participate in the SAR. The Air Force Rescue Coordination
Center is to be contacted at telephone 1/800-851-3051 or DSN 523-5955.
