You know the rest.  No CAP so the aircraft didn't have
to worry about being intercepted, just his tail #
copied down.  And NO, no fighters were positioned
nearby.  None at Nashville.  Ft Campbell: none.  They
couldn't get here fast enough if they had too.  But
the shuttle is safe!
