At about 1810 CST, heard her on 290.8, KZTL Mt Oglethorpe, so guess she came from the East Coast
somewhere.

Thanks for the tie up with the serial, and confirmation on the callsign, I wasn't sure I had got
the right numbers on the one call I heard.
