I spent a number of years engaged in the "black projects speculation game" and so some of what was in that alleged statement isn't new in terms of suggestions about equipment and capabilities. Amongst "speculators" there was in those days quite a wide variety of types, from those of us who pretty much limited ourselves to trying to *ascertain FACTS* and out to a very lunatic fringe who were engaged in trying to *create alleged FACTS*.

A great deal of that statement in terms of equipment and capabilites are clearly right out of the realm of that "lunatic fringe" and actually go back into the early 90's, or farther. Much of it is directly derived from the Area 51 rumours about reverse-engineering an alien spacecraft; the Bob Lazar material and later, the Phillip Corso book (assuming I am correclty recalling the author's name)(about how we supposedly DID let some Roswell-obtained technology out to selected contractors for R&D and how some of it is alleged to have become available and used).

There is no doubt that not only the U.S. but other countries including the Russians have an interest in developing very highly advanced aircraft, spacecraft and weapons systems. That there is a substantial "black projects" budget in the U.S. is pretty much a fact and proves the *interest* but certainly NOT the *outcome*.

The statement's researchable points are, most importantly perhaps, that a missile was actually launched from within CONUS and specifically from "...perhaps the North Dakota area....". While that area is not so hugely populated it is NOT so sparse that such a launch wouldn't have been all over the news........camcorder video put out all over the internet......etc etc. Where is that evidence? Where are the news reports? I have seen NOTHING to indicate this was true. In order to even consider any of that following stuff about mysteriously appearing craft blowing the missile out of the sky you have to have a target to shoot at.

It *is* known that the U.S. has experimented with the use of lasers and other weapons as anti-missile devices. In what is known of these experiments the aircraft have been LARGE and based upon platforms like the Boeing 707/KC135 airframe and then the Boeing 747 airframe (and maybe others) while at one point an ASAT (Anti-SATellite) missile was being supposedly test launched from under an F-15 fighter. Some have also been at least considered and possibly tested; also shipboard systems. I seem to recall possibly one aging satellite having been sacrificed to such a system but these have all be pretty conventional in nature. Blackworld versions may well exist but again, what the document describes I don't think any proof or evidence exists for that anyone has the guts to show...

As for the allegations of radio traffic, jamming, etc., we don't seem to be seeing corroboration popping up HERE - nor have I seen such corroboration in any Amateur forums *so far*. How the group or groups in the statement could have such a monopoly on the kinds of intercepts suggested I do not know. Certainly, people here at Milcom (and elsewhere which are often echo'ed here at Milcom) are very VERY good at this sort of thing and so I tend to watch what goes by with a pretty high level of confidence as opposed to, again, such uncorroborated claims.

I find the claims in the referenced document highly dubious at best unless or until some serious corroboration is brought forward.
