Joshua, are you sure this is Nimitz.  She was scheduled to get underway 
for deployment on the 24th.  Normally they only stay off the coast 
getting all the pilots re-qualified for blue water ops for 1 or 2 days 
and then they are gone.  Maybe weather kept them from it so it took a 
few more days.
