Hi all,
Today while looking at the Special Use Airspace (SUA) website, I noticed
there was a long rectangular area showing active just below W-105. I clicked
on it and it was listed as AR-777L. This is the first time I have ever seen any
official confirmation from DoD that it even existed. Veteran monitors here on the
East coast have known about it for years and had a pretty good idea where it was.
There was never any official showing of it on any DoD map or publication like in
the AP-1B book. Now it shows up here on the website. So I guess it is now
official.
The interesting thing about how they categorized it on the SUA site is that it
was listed as OTHER and not an AR track. It even looks like a very long
rectangular warning area with a box on the East end of it. In order to see it
on the site, select New York Center, check the box next to OTHER, and then
check the box next to NOT SCHEDULED. Then it will show up as a grayed-out
shape. When scheduled, it will be colored in.

There it is, the infamous W-777
