The Wings Of Blue safety officer was using three radios. The 400MHz
radio was used for one-way communications with the descending
parachuters. It looked identical to a Yaesu VX-150:

The aviation transceiver was used to pass drop reports to the C-130
from the 700th AS. It was a Motorola brick that I cannot identify:

My 396T got a close call hit on ISR ch1 (396.875) when the safety
officer was mic clicking the radio prior to the show. I never heard any
actual comms on the freq though. The radio appeared to be an Icom
IC-4008M.

Finally, here is a photo of the Technisonic TDFM-136 P-25 radio and
the NAT PTA12 airborne telephone adapter installed in Civil Air Patrol
aircraft N471CP:
