Milcom List

For the second time in a month all
F-15 models A,B,C,D will be ground for a
indefinite period of time while inspections
and repairs can be made but the F-15E
will keep flying. You will remember that the first
groundings took place after the Nov. 2 crash of a
27-year-old Missouri Air National Guard F-15C that
broke apart between the cockpit and main fuselage as
it flew an air-to-air combat training sortie. Now that
the F/A-22 Raptors are in operation I wonder if
all these issues with the older F-15's will speed
up there retiring according to Wikipedia the
F-15C and F-15E which have been upgraded will
be in service till 2025
