Enjoy hearing the 103FW Hawgs this Memorial Day since they've already
started their transition to the C-21. Not sure if the 104FW will still
have Hawgs or will fully be in the Eagle by next year.

Subject: [MilCom] WMass/North CT Memorial Day Fly Overs
Basically here's in the Western Massachusetts/Northern Connecticut
areas, fly over support is being provided by both the 104 Fighter Wing
(Barnes ANGB/MAP, Westfield, MA) as well as 103 FW (Bradley ANGS/IAP,
Windsor Locks, CT). Both units fly A10 aircraft
Support for flyovers started yesterday.
Callsigns included:
CHILI 1 (2 A10's) 104 FW
COMET 1 (2 A10's) 104 FW
JADE or JAY 1 (2 A10's) 104 FW
JAVA 1 (2 A10's) 104 FW
KILLER 1 (2 A10's) 103 FW
The 104 FW initially staged aircraft yesterday & early today out of
Westover JARB (KCEF), 103 FW flew directly out of their base. Generally
aircraft flew below FL 3K enroute to the multiple sites and went lower
during fly overs.
Typical frequencies included:
KBDL Approach/Departure Control: 325.8, 327.1, 323.2, 348.3, 359.0
ATC Towers/Ground Control : 251.1/289.4, 348.75/275.8, 351.8, 122.7
Air Tactical: 138.15, 139.9, 141.675, 143.825.
It's interesting that when the A10 aircraft are next to an uncontrolled
airfield they will come up on the UNICOM frequency to announce their
intentions. Yesterday one of the 104 FW's had a small private aircraft
come within approximately 500 feet of one of the A10's.
Aircraft are scheduled throughout the day to continute flyovers at
additional ceremonies throughout the area, approximately, up to an
approximate 125 mile radius.
