[MilCom] List Participation

Hello Jack:
I always enjoy your HF postings to the group. Unfortunately, I haven't done
much monitoring on HF for about the last 2 - 3 years. It seemed as the
neighborhood got built up with additional homes, the noise level increased,
including an intermittent loud buzz sound that is a good s7-s10 on the
receiver & blocks much of the HF traffic that I use to be able to monitor
!!! :(
As far as regional interest in milcom/milair vhf/uhf activities -- it's a
mixed bag -- For example radio reference wants military loggings placed in
the respective state list BUT for the most part the general scannerland
monitoring hobbyists population has very little interest in that
information -- unless something big happens & than for the most part they
don't have the equipment capable of monitoring UHF aero or VHF tactical am
anyways. As far as the milcom list, here goes I would be interested in
seeing a MONTHLY SUMMARY detailing active frequencies usage/definition, and
callsigns (type aircraft/helos) monitored from EVERY geographic area/list
member and I have made it my goal to support the list with at least a
monthly summary posting of what I've monitored since January 2004.
My understanding is that some isp/mail services that list participants used,
for some reason are now being blocked by the qth.net spam software, so this
may be another part of the reasons for postings being down.
