Rene:
This lack of posting/participation is NOT unique to this list! Fedcom (on
this server) as well as many of the general scannerland type lists on yahoo
& elsewhere (radio reference as an example) have also seen a decline in
postings by radio monitoring hobbyists. We seem to see some questions
posted on what frequencies one should monitor BUT very little validation
after the information is given out via future loggings/reports of what was
actually monitored. Additionally there's been quite a few radio related
blogs & wiki's developed that provides a lot of information to hobbyists who
have an interest in milcom, who can just go to those webpages & get the
information.
Also I think also there's SO many other lists & website only posting lists
available that this has "watered down" postings on all of the lists both
from a milcom as well as regional general scannerland lists perspective.
Yahoo groups as well as radioreference have the capability to allow pictures
to be posted, BUT the older long term legacy hobby mailservers do not.
There just isn't "one source" for milcom/milair information!!!!
I would hope that you would continue to post your very worthwhile
information to this list. Unfortunately, for many of us, due to work
schedules or family commitments we are not able to react (actively monitor)
to the information posted.

Don't want to start a "flame-war" this Memeorial Day weekend, but
what happened to our original list ??? Come on guys/gals, we should
be able to do much better !!
We can share logs, movements, pre-sets, frequency cards, air-to-air
frequencies and much more here on this list, but please get involved.
At the moment I think this list is really going down, only 20-25 or
so regular posters are keeping this list alive. I consider myself one
of these posters, but this could really be my last post. Sorry.
Sad wishes from the Netherlands,
René.
