------------------------------------------------------
The westbound adventure of TBOLT 51 "flight"
After contact with OMEGA 70 the flight separated to 5
planes each per TAC channel. With TBOLT 51, 52, 53,
54, and 55 switching to TAC 1 (290.0). Prior to this
air to air for all 10 planes was on TAC 2 (327.475)
1300: 327.475--TBOLT (TAC 2) TBOLT 56, 57, 58, 59, 60
290.0--TBOLT (TAC 1) TBOLT 51, 52, 53, 54, 55
At first they were going to refuel in two separate
elements and use each TAC channel to keep things
separated. However OMEGA 71 was a little late
arriving so all AR Ops was done on 290.0 This was
being done on AR-111 west but AR-111 freq (348.9) was
not being used.
1307: 290.0--TBOLT (TAC 1), OMEGA 70 (B-707) conducts
AR Ops W/TBOLT 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58,
59, and 60
1325: OMEGA 71 (B-707) arrives on scene and takes
over AR Ops W/TBOLT 56, 57, 58, 59, and 60
As far as i know they also used 290.0 for AR Ops. I
never heard them switch to 327.475 Confused? I know
i was for awhile. I did my best at trying to sort
things out. I am surprised i kept them this long. Now
back to the rest of the logs.
