3/7 CAV as an aviation unit with the 3rd ID at Hunter AAF and Fort Stewart
is no longer a going concern. After the Invasion of Iraq, the third ID was
reorganized. 3/7 CAV's air assets were taken away and it is now an entirely
ground unit. Each Brigade now has it's own Cavalry element; 3/7 CAV is now
part of the 2nd Brigade. Unfortunately I am not sure who got the OH-58Ds
when the reorganization occured.
