Just returned from Pensacola Beach (sunburn and all)
and watching the Blues perform their annual beach
show. And sorry Clay for not getting up with you but
my time didn't allow me for a meeting. Traffic
between Pensacola Beach and Panama City was
rediculous.

237.8---Solos (behind the crowd)
305.5---Fat Albert (C-130T)
Notes: The acts included the Trojan Flyers flying
restored WW II T-28 Trojans. Also Team Aeroshell
flying four (original) T-6 Texans doing various
aerobatics. Also had a Pitts Special doing power
aerobatics. The Coast Guard Search and Rescue demo
included a HH-65C (CG-6551) out of New Orleans and one
of the USCG smaller boats (the last two #'s were 81).
Lt Cdr John Allison (BA #5) was also sick for the
dress rehearsal on Friday but returned for the main
event on Saturday and didn't look out of place at all.
The show was an awesome demonstration of precision
and power. Instead of the usual "delta" flat pass to
end the show they flew the missing man toward the
crowd with Lt Cdr Craig "Merlin" Olsen #6 pulling up
into the verticle exiting the formation right as they
approached the beach to head back to the Air Station.
Coast Guard Cutter Cypress was on station as usual as
the center point for the show center. Signal Stalker
hooked me up with 467.8125 being used as on board
comms of the CG cutter Cypress.
