[MilCom] Middle TN Area July 4th Surprise

Well, fellow milcommers and scanner buffs.  If i
didn't have bad luck i would have no luck at all.  I
missed the Space Shuttle transport into/out of
Campbell and i would miss good milair both radio and
visual if it fell in my lap.  I'm listening to local
Metro PD/FD command channels cause it's 4th of July
right?  And nothing is going on in the air bands cause
this is Nashville TN, right?  

Well, i'm sitting in my room reading and listening to
ground based comms and all of a sudden here comes this
loud jet noise right over the house and i run out to
see two F-16's in a right hand turn.  I called work
and find out their callsign is RACER out of Terre
Haute, IN.  They parked at the ANG.  No other comms i
could hear at the last second.  They flew over the
Riverfront Park for the 4th festivities.  This "party"
has never had a flyover and i guess i now learned my
lesson of even if it's a holiday you never know what
to expect.  This sure did surprise the heck out of me.
 No mention in the paper.  Oh well, i guess
blankety-blank happens.  Now since i'll be ready for
the Firestone-Indy 300 at the Superspeedway i guess
they will have booring Parachutists or helos like
usual.  Nothing fast and loud.  That's my luck.  I
hope everyone has a safe and uneventful 4th of July. 
Mine sure is ending that way.
