[MilCom] Question: ASCOT or British a/c

I am wondering what callsigns would the Tornado's use
or do they all use the callsign ASCOT?  I had a ASCOT
9520 land Ft Campbell earlier today and didn't know if
that would be a transport of some sort or what.  The
pilot sounded like he had a mask on.  He was using VHF
ATC freqs, sounded similar to a NASA pilot in a T-38. 


I didn't know if the fighter a/c used two numbers like
the US or would they also use ASCOT like the
transports and have four numbers.  I've never had the
luxury of hearing a Brit Mil a/c.  This was my first.
