Finally some activity.
121.00: Army Guard helis taking off for Operation Haybales; trying to find
and feed livestock in snowbound southeastern Colorado. 2 X UH-1's, 2 X OH-58's,
4 X UH-60's & 1 X CH-47.
284.70: ?SPORT?-1, (Unk), with Denver Center, Switch 371.85. ((Very weak.
Couldn't tell whether the callsign was SPORT-1 or SCORP-1))
372.20: SMOKY-33, (C-21A, Peterson), calling Peterson PTD.
283.75: SMOKY-33 with SMOKY-22. 22 is heading for Tucson and 33 is returning
to Peterson with maintenance issues that include losing all of his warning
lights. ((I suppose that beats having them all come ON at once))
275.80: STUD-21, flight of 2, (F-16, Buckley), cleared to Airburst Range. (2
sorties)
275.80: REDEYE-11, flight of 4, (F-16, Buckley), cleared to Two Buttes MOA.
253.625: STUD flight working in Airburst. Having trouble making out the
targets against the snow.
387.15: REDEYE flight tells Center that they will be working VFR below
10,000 feet in the Two Buttes area in support of the (blizzard) rescue operations.
((Hopefully not dropping hay bales. Video of a hay bale hitting a cow at 450
kts would probably get the ASPCA riled up))
372.20: JOSA-947, (C-21A), takeoff Colorado Springs.
263.00: FIRST-11, (F-15/22, Langley), with Denver Center, FL 430.
121.00: REACH 2402, (C-130, Little Rock), land.
372.20: SWIFT-42, (C-21A, Scott), takeoff Colorado Springs. Pass t/o time to
Scott.
275.80: REDEYE-61, flight of 4, (F-16, Buckley), cleared Two Buttes MOA. 62
aborted due to nose wheel steering problem. The other 3 went down to the MOA
for normal ACM etc.
372.20: SMOKY-73, (C-21A, Peterson), callsing Peterson PTD.
