The Jan/Feb 2007 edition of Civil Air Patrol's magazine "CAP Volunteer" has
an article (page 22) "Smooth Sailing" about Maine Wing's Homeland Security
support, to include airborne surveillance escorting of US Navy ships from
Bath shipyard to the Atlantic ocean.

I'd assume that they are using one of the VHF Marine freqs to coordinate
with ship "on the water" security units. CAP in Maine continues to use
148.15 simplex/repeater as the primary frequency
No one on that area has reporting monitoring any radio activity pertaining
to these escorts
