Ronald,
Aside from the recent loggings of Calgary approach control here in North Georgia, I also have heard other weak Am comms last year on this freq. I posted about this numerous times. Last year when I first started hearing the weak GCI/ACM style comms what really confused me was that they were always the same signal strength. Your reporting of "bandbox" coming thru on this transponder makes perfect sense for what I was hearing last year. Thanks for the great info!
