Hi all, while sitting here monitoring some refueling in AR-631 I had another
scanner searching 138-144 and it locked up on 143.625 but I could tell
it was not an AM transmission. I switched to NFM and heard the following.....
"Huntsville, ISS on VHF through Wallops, how do you read?"
after the connection was confirmed, I heard a foreign voice talk for a few
seconds and then another astronaut come on in English saying,
"Hi Michelle, how are you? It's sure good to hear your voice."
a few more words were exchanged and the signal started to fade and dropped.
This was at 1635z
This is the second time I have stumbled across ISS on VHF and is a reminder
for people to punch in 143.625 as you may hear some space comms too.
