Well,

The 16 does chase for the flight tests duties simply for the 
possibility of something going wrong and having an aircraft there to 
visually inspect the damage and so on. They also occasionally throw up 
a LM Photographer in the backseat when they use the B/D models.

I miss the days of having both an F-15/16 in the air with it. Once in a 
blue moon a Eglin F-15E will come up for the day and do the chase 
duties.

How come there is always an F-16 flying around with the RAPTOR?
