--------------------------------------------------------

Airboss was 119.05.
Jim LeRoy was using 123.15. Didn't really follow too closely on the
freqs.

The show was lackluster without the Blues (The aerial portion of the
show was weak to begin with), However, At the beginning of Sunday there
was a missing man formation by the Geico Skytypers to honor LCDR Kevin
"Kojack" Davis, The Blues #6 pilot who died piloting BA #6 the day
before. Very emotional, Everyone who was there who understood what was
going on definitely had to fight to keep emotions in. Excellent job by
Rob Reider, The airshow narrator, Definitely the best around. F-16 East
out of Shaw put on a great demo, Good Heritage Flight with Snort in the
F-86 as well. Warbirds that went up was a B-25 (#N62163) & F4U and
Snort flew a performance in the Sabre.

Civilian Wise, Jim Leroy's solo act was great as usual, It was also my
first time seeing Jurgis Kairys, A World Acrobatic Champion who
definitely showed his worth. The dual performance by both Leroy and
Kairys, Known as "TinStix" which features awe inspiring acrobatics
along with Pyrotechnics provided by Rich's Incredible Pyro make it one
of the best civilian acts out there. Considering the circumstances, I
thought the men & women of MCAS Beaufort did an excellent job putting
this show together, Especially after the tragic event on Saturday.

The Blues, Following the show, Departed in 2x ship flights (01 x2, 03
x2 05 x2, Respectively). Eeriely quiet on a/a (Just a couple hits on
237.8). I'm sure they are taking it rough. I was enroute to Beaufort
when the crash occured Saturday, The girlfriend gave me a call and told
me and I couldn't believe it. I later found out around Savannah that
Kojack didn't survive.

Last but most importantly, I send my condolences to LCDR Davis' friends
& family and to everyone who knew him. I got the opportunity to speak
with Kojack at NAS Atlanta last year at the show. Great,Humble guy.
He'll surely be missed.

R.I.P. Kojack.
