Wheeeeew look at this area's major strike exersise!!
Sigh!! Just kidding. All times are local (CST).
1020: JOKER 41 (F/A-18C, VFA-34, Oceana)
(#165406/NE-412) W/Memphis Ctr 379.25>126.45
This guy did land BNA but i didn't catch until he was
with Ctr. Seems like these guys are the only ones
that will come here. All the others go to buttugly
Memphis or Knoxville (no offense Crownhaven and any
TYS residents). Any others that land in this area go
to Ft Campbell (another limit on service), why is
Memphis or Knoxville better than Nashville?? And
unlike some pilots i talked to WE DO HAVE AN ANG UNIT
STILL HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1028: 130.65--Ft Campbell Ops, SHARK 11 "10 mins out
from landing" (I rest my case!!)
1030: SHARK 11 (A-10A, 75th FS/4th FW, Pope)
W/Nashville A/D 387.0>, lands Campbell AAF
(KHOP) 269.525>278.8 (departs @ 1225)
I guess he would have landed in Memphis coming from
the west.
1158: 128.75--Eagle Control, VIKING 81 (C-130H, 96th
AS/934th AW, Minneapolis/USAFR) "request
clearance into the range"
1200: CANFORCE 3782 (CC-144C, 412sq, #144618) departs
Nashville (KBNA) 118.6>119.35>, Memphis Ctr
125.85 (why didn't they go into Campbell?)
1245: MUSIC 20 x 2 (C-130H, 105th AS/118th AW,
Nashville) departs Nashville (KBNA) 118.6>
119.35 (yes, this is our ANG unit and still
flying!!) (A2A: 292.0)
1259: 128.75--Eagle Control, MUSIC 20 x 2 "request
clearance into the range for drops, TOT 1330
hrs"
Sorry for the soapbox but i feel cheated and the BS a
couple of T-34C (aka: DEVIL) pilots gave me just
infuriated me big time. These guy's other planes were
F/A-18's of VFA-106. I was tempted to tell them to
just take their planes to Ft Campbell too. And
luckily right after he told me there isn't a ANG base
here two C-130's took off. I pointed to them and
walked off. Memphis or Knoxville ain't no better than
Nashville. Even the USMC/NAVY has quit doing flyovers
here. So why BNA gets the shaft i don't know. I wish
i had more exciting posts to make but maybe i'll get
to go to Florida again and hear some real milair.

Nashville, Tn.
