A Canadian T-6? What's that? :-)
The aircraft at Moose Jaw are still indeed using the VIKING callsign. I
hear them here regularly. I think it's the Flight Instructors School, but
Moose Jaw nonetheless. I haven't been able to confirm which aircraft type
uses the VIKING callsign, but it is not the CT-114 Tutor (only the
Snowbirds still fly those planes). The aircraft type is either the CT-155
Hawk (turbojet trainer) or the CT-156 Harvard II (turboprop trainer).
I'm quite certain it was one of the Moose Jaw aircraft, and he shortened
the CT-156 to "T-6", but I've never heard the T-6 designation. In fact,
around here, they're only referred to by name "Hawk" and "Harvard".
