Grove's "Federal Frequency Directory", 2nd edition indicates potential
assignment as Air Force (nationwide), Army (nationwide), Energy Department,
& Navy. Shows approximately 60 specific geographic locations the frequency
in , including Hanscom AFB, MA
Grove's "Military Frequency Directory", 2nd edition indicates that this was
the "Medical Net" at Hanscom AFB. I think someone mentioned (perhaps it
was you Peter) that Hanscom now used a contract Ambulance Service, BUT I
find it difficult to believe that Hanscom military medical didn't have at
least some military type "cracker box" type ambulances still on hand to
practice with & still provide an "on base" medical response force
capability.
Both these reference publications come in very handy in identifying
potential users of frequencies.
These two publication have been bundled at Grove Enterprises also with the
Shortwave Directory at a very reasonable cost as the "Grove Frequency Master
File" See: http://www.grove-ent.com/FREQMASFILE.html

Subject: [FedCom] 173.5125 in Boston area - who is it
Seems that every morning around 8AM there are a couple
of P25 transmissions on 173.5125 in the Boston MA
area. Anyone know who that is? (I dont have P25
capability yet). Hanscom AFB FD does a daily radio
check on 166.225R at 8AM - the 173.5125 traffic might
be related to them. Peter S
