Note the AFOSI Command Magazine "Global Reliance" Jul/Aug 2006 edition was
recently added to the website & has some interesting articles. See:
http://public.afosi.amc.af.mil/global/jul_aug_06/index.asp

As many of you know "on scene" monitoring hobbyists know the Air Force
Office of Special Investigations is the program manager for the "Eagle Eyes"
program http://public.afosi.amc.af.mil/eagle/index.asp

Locally I've never monitored any activity on AFOSI's radio system. Rumor is
that they use cellphones most of the time. Historically, AFOSI radio systems
have primarily operated in the 138-144 mhz band -- 3 standard frequencies
(per Grove's "Military Frequency Directory", 2nd edition) & have a specific
talkgroup assigned on military bases that have LMR trunked radio systems.
Of course with all the rebanding taking place in the 138-144 mhz, I'd assume
that the radio frequencies will be changed.

So for those of you that are into "on scene" hobby monitoring at your local
AF, ANG, of AFRC take a close look around you and remember "Eagle Eyes" may
be watching you!!!!

Ken
