Went to the airshow today. It was OK but unless
it's over water i prefer a show where the TAC demos
take off from the show site. Due to Tullahoma
Regional's (KTHA) runway length (5002 ft) the F-15 and
F-16 planes staged out of Nashville (KBNA) at the ANG.
Parking was good ($5). No busing. All civilian
performances were good. Patty Wagstaff (Extra 300)
and Jim Leroy (souped up Pitts Special) by far took
the cake. Jim Mohor (i'm sure i botched the name)
was extremely skillfull with the PT-17 Stearman. The
Red Eagles (Pitts Specials x 2) were pretty
entertaining. I can do without Otto the helicopter.
I enjoyed the warbird passes (P-51, P-47, TBM Avenger,
Beech 18, and others).
The TAC demos were awesome. Unfortunately, like i
mentioned earlier two of the three staged at Nashville
so their demos are shorter than they would be if they
had been able to be at the show site. The F-15 (my
all time favorite) was awesome and the F-16 was
equally impressive, just too short. The Canforces
CF-18 was just as good as their counterparts South of
the Border. There was one glitch with them the main
Hornet (the one with the maple leaf on the tail)
suffered a mechanical so they used the spare jet
(CF-18, but looked combat ready, wasn't a flashy paint
job). The dueling Sabres, Ed Shipley and Dale
Snodgrass, was good. Some of the closest formation
flying at low altitudes i've ever seen. Even drew
the attention of the F-16 and F-15 as they were
holding for the Heritage Flight. That was extemely
awesome as Heritage Flights are. The Mig-17 (Dave
Burdeen) was extremely maneuverable.
The Trojan Horsemen (6 T-28's) were good, also.

Now the freqs:

Pre-show:
123.000------Temporary Tower
133.000------Temporary Ground

Air Show:
133.000------Air Boss/Sabres, Trojan Horsemen, Tora
             and Heritage Flight

123.150------Red Eagles, Otto, Jim LeRoy, MIG-17
             (also link to PA)

384.550------F-16 Demo/A2A with F-15 before and after
             Heritage Flight (VIPER 1)

376.025------F-15 Demo

On a side note. The F-16 and F-15 were down right
comical while holding to start the Heritage Flight.
They were talking about returning home. The 16 pilot
want's to get back ASAP because they are hitting a 2
week road trip starting Wednesday. So he took a
crack at the F-15 "you shouldn't be in a hurry since
you have no home to go to". F-15: "You just had to
throw that in my face". I did have a good time.
